RX-78NT-1Gundam NT-1

The RX-78 Gundam, developed by the Earth Federation Forces, was completed as a mobile suit with the most outstanding performance throughout the One Year War. The Zaku mobile suit of the Principality of Zeon was developed against the background of multifaceted tactical concepts, and was developed with a high degree of versatility, including outer space, surface control, and base construction. The 78-type is a machine that puts emphasis on anti-mobile suit combat and is thoroughly equipped with innovative technology. Therefore, although it is a prototype, it is highly responsive to various combat situations, and even though it is operated by a single pilot, it is said that its attack capability is equivalent to that of a cruiser in terms of force analysis. It has a beam rifle that can be carried in a mobile suit as standard equipment, and highly consumable weapons and defensive weapons are all externally attached to the main body. As long as the mobile suit itself is in operation, it will not lose its combat power. The reason behind this is that Luna Titanium Alloy, which has excellent bullet resistance, was used for the armor and structural materials. In addition, the core block (which can operate independently as a small fighter), which is the operation compartment, can be recovered independently, and even if the aircraft is damaged in battle, another aircraft or a spare A part (upper body) and B part ( It was possible to immediately continue the battle by replacing it with the lower body). And what made the difference with Zeon technology decisive was the educational computer installed in its core block. In the system and interface designed by Dr. Tem Ray, the battle situation is overwritten and recorded, and at the same time, the optimum value corresponding to the situation can be reflected in the operation of the aircraft, so the generated program can be loaded into the production aircraft. It was a specification that naturally improved the performance of the aircraft. It was thought that it would be possible to reduce the individual difference in strength of the aircraft that occurs due to the pilot's proficiency. This is the overview of the RX-78. Adding a further element to the aircraft was the presence of a pilot with excellent sensitivity called a new type. The combat data brought by the RX-78-2 of the 13th Independent Squadron on the front line revealed the need for further updating of the aircraft, and emergency response by the Federation Forces reinforcements to rebuild the force for counteroffensive operations. Although it is similar to the Mobile Suit RX-78-3, the new type compatible mobile suit RX-78-3 has been completed by strengthening the magnetic coating technology and field motor. The plan to further develop (use) this was FSWS, and on the other hand, it was the development prototype of the next-generation RX-78 design machine. While the One Year War was in a stalemate, it was necessary to have the logic of a mass-produced model that could face large-scale battles. The RX-78NT-1 is a new type aircraft that has been redesigned from the 78-3. In addition, it became the first RX-78 Gundam type to have the unique name of Alex as a pet name. In this aircraft, the versatility of the retrofit system was excluded, and something superior in combat power and defense power as an individual was sought. Therefore, instead of a core block that doubles as a recovery module, this NT-1 has an all-around monitor screen, which is the prototype of the later linear seat, placed in the spherical cockpit, and the dedicated normal suit and seat are systematically connected. It became a state, and it was possible to make the field of view of the battle situation more open under the Minovsky particle scattering. Furthermore, the on-board educational computer was expanded to three system processors, and the processing power was greatly improved from the 78-3 type. These new functions and improvements are the reason why it is a new type Amuro Ray dedicated machine. And the design and development of this aircraft was done at the North American ORGUSS Base Research Facility. After the development team led by Dr. Tem Ray went into space in Operation V, the Federation Forces reorganized the ground development facilities, resulting in the establishment of several development bases separate from Jaburo. Originally, the RX-78 was manufactured by trial production for each part, so it was possible to procure the majority of the parts that could be used for development in ORGUSS. In addition, this NT-1 has a dedicated composite armor (Chobham Armor). Especially when exposed to a large artillery attack or close-quarters artillery fire, this composite armor acts as crushed armor that absorbs damage from direct hits, instantly detaching the damaged armor and restoring it to its original state. You can enter the fighting phase in the form of NT-1. This is a specialized application of the secondary shell concept proposed in FSWS for defense. The completed aircraft was transported to the Arctic base in a disassembled state, avoiding attacks by the Zeon special forces and transporting it to the Side 6 Ribo Colony. It was scheduled to be handed over to Second Lieutenant Amuro Ray of the 13th Independent Squadron for Operation Star No. 1, and assembly work and adjustment tests were underway, but a surprise attack by the Zeon Forces Special Forces forced it to become a system engineer and test pilot. Piloted by Lieutenant Christina MacKenzie, the aircraft was severely damaged as a result of the engagement and was unable to reach its intended mission.
