This item is a two-piece transforming robot with the front car being the upper body and the rear car being the lower body.There are nearly 100 transformation points throughout the body.Therefore, this timeIn the second part, we will introduce the transformation points unique to "SOUL OF CHOGOKIN x Shinkalion"We will continue to do so.

The top priority was"To recreate the Shinkansen mode and Shinkalion mode, both before and after transformation, in three dimensions as imagined."In Shinkansen mode, it is exactly like the real Shinkansen "E5 Series Hayabusa," while in Shinkalion mode, it has been designed to thoroughly capture the heroic proportions seen in the video.

[Super Evolution Transformation Point 1] Head to Chest Block

First, let's start with the front car, which is the upper body. It is roughly divided into the head to chest block, shoulder and arm blocks (left and right), and arm armor.

The nose section contains the head, abdomen, and back plate, and the exterior is disassembled into small pieces as it folds forward.It is compressed into the shape of a robot's chest.I can see that.
As mentioned in the first part, the exterior of the Shinkansen mode is made of hard, thin ABS, so large blocks such as the head can be stored inside and pulled out with very little clearance."Transformation without replacement"We have achieved this.

[Super Evolution Transformation Point 2] Shoulder to Arm Block

The base of both shouldersA combination of detailed exterior divisions and a transformation mechanism that crosses horizontal and vertical linesThe structure is such that the parts fit together like a puzzle, avoiding interference between each other.
The shoulders transform by dividing the armor into separate pieces and folding them up with an internal crank mechanism. The armor on the entire body can be firmly fixed in place with concave and convex pins once transformed correctly.

Expose the convex parts at the base of both shoulders and the concave parts on the torso, two on each side, and fit them together to complete the upper body!
By sliding the bumps on the top, the stability of the combined arms is further increased.

[Super Evolution Transformation Point 3] Lower Body - Thigh Block

When the exterior of the rear car is removed, it becomes the entire body from the waist to both legs. By adjusting the hip joints, it can be opened 180 degrees (see image above), and at that point the total length is over 400mm!

We also considered transforming this item into a single unit without separating the upper and lower body. However, due to the aforementioned need to maintain the proportions both before and after transformation, and the need for a large open transformation and delicate mechanism,Avoid "loading other parts during deformation" and "difficult to hold and deform"Therefore, it has been transformed into a two-piece upper and lower body.

What is noteworthy about the lower body"Thigh-inflating gimmick"In the video, it is arranged to be a little thicker, and a gimmick has been added that makes the thighs bulge on both sides based on the anime design (see image above). This gives the legs more definition and enhances the image of an "anime-style robot."

This item is made of hard ABS exterior and die-cast parts that require strength, such as joints."We've maximized the benefits of each material."However, the attention to item that is characteristic of SOUL OF CHOGOKIN extends to the finer details.
For example, when pulling out the ankle block and lifting the knee and shin armor, you can slide the inner part to hide the gap at the ankle (see image above). It's a small gimmick, but it has a big effect as a finishing touch to the well-balanced extended legs.
