TAMASHII NATIONS which develops a variety of quality figure brands aimed at adults, has launched a new brand called "Tamashii Art," based on the concept of three-dimensional paintings that can be hung on the wall!We will be introducing the brand's first product, "Tamashii Art Dragon Ball SON GOKU & Ryu," which will be released in general stores on Saturday, October 18, 2025, using the latest product samples.

This first item in the "Tamashii Art" series is based on the cover illustration of the final volume of the Dragon Ball manga. With its meticulous design and coloring that makes the picture appear to jump out of the frame, it has been created as a new product that combines the appeal of both "three-dimensional objects" and "paintings."

Using the original illustration as a reference, we have carefully sculpted SON GOKU 's facial expression, the contours of his muscles, the shape of each wrinkle in his gi, and even the obi fluttering in the wind.

A dragon swims leisurely through the sky with SON GOKU on its back. In order to preserve the dynamic feel of the illustration, the dragon is sculpted in semi-three dimensions, with the tail and head appearing to leap from the back to the front, with careful attention paid to the shape of each individual scale.

One of the joys of a three-dimensional painting is being able to enjoy the view from different angles than the illustration. I made sure to sculpt the image so that it would not fall apart when viewed from other angles, while still respecting the image of the illustration from the front.

In terms of coloring, shadow areas such as the wrinkles in SON GOKU 's gi are sprayed with a darker color than the surrounding areas to emphasize the contrast, and metallic paint has been added to some parts of the dragon itself to express the glossiness of the scales in the illustration, resulting in a three-dimensional finish.

To further enhance the display, the frame is equipped with an LED light. When you touch the touch sensor on the top, the LED inside the frame will light up, lighting up the figure, allowing you to enjoy a display with a different atmosphere than usual!

*The internal structure technology has been patented in Japan.
