Hello everyone! I'm Akiba, in charge of planning for the SHFigurarts My Hero Academia Series!
In this blog, we would like to introduce the special features of "S.H.Figuarts KATSUKI BAKUGO" and "S.H.Figuarts IZUKU MIDORIYA & KATSUKI BAKUGO PLUS ULTRA OPTION PARTS SET", which are about to go on sale on March 29, 2025 (Saturday)!

S.H.Figuarts KISAKI BAKUGO

We will start with "S.H.Figuarts KATSUKI BAKUGO", which is packed with various mechanisms to make it into an action figure!

■About upper body movement

First, we'd like to introduce the articulation of the upper body. As you can see from the image below, this can dynamically move back and forth, allowing for beautiful arching and bending forward without compromising the body lines.

■ About the shoulder structure

Regarding the mobility of the shoulders, due to the costume design around the shoulders, the equipment on the shoulders interferes with the shoulders, and there was an issue that it was difficult to pose the unique poses of "KATSUKI BAKUGO" with a normal movable axis. In response to this, as shown in the image below, a special axis structure has been created that allows the shoulders to be pulled forward and backward while allowing the equipment around the shoulders to escape, making it possible to move the arms freely in either direction!

In addition, because the design around the neck of this "KATSUKI BAKUGO" costume is covered by the clothing, it may appear as though the neck cannot move at all. However, to make it more enjoyable to play with as an action figure, we have boldly included the movable divisions shown in yellow below, allowing for movement around the neck!

Thanks to the movable mechanism around the neck and shoulders, it is possible to pose KATSUKI BAKUGO in all directions while leaning forward, as shown below, using his "quirk" to move around!

■ About arm movement

Next, we will introduce the moving mechanism of the arms.
Again, from a design perspective, the gauntlets on the arms significantly limited movement, which posed a challenge when it came to play with it as an action figure.
In response to this, a pull-out structure has been added inside the gauntlet as shown below, which allows the gauntlet to be pulled out when bending the arm, expanding the range of motion and allowing for proper posing!

■About leg movement

Next, we will introduce the movement of the legs.
This figure also has a movable mechanism that allows you to raise your legs as high as you can or crouch down, allowing you to create dynamic leg poses KATSUKI BAKUGO, as shown below!

■ Attention to detail in the movable axis

We also paid particular attention to the appearance of the joints that become exposed when making dynamic poses like those shown above, and added detail to the axes of the crotch and back of the knees, creating a design that looks natural without compromising the body lines, even when the figure is posed in a variety of ways.

By taking full advantage of the above mechanisms, it is possible to recreate a variety of dynamic action poses without compromising the body lines, as shown below!

S.H.Figuarts IZUKU MIDORIYA & KATSUKI BAKUGO PLUS ULTRA OPTION PARTS SET

Next, we will introduce the optional parts set that allows you to further enjoy the "S.H.Figuarts KATSUKI BAKUGO" introduced earlier and the "S.H.Figuarts IZUKU MIDORIYA" released last year!

The first step is to introduce the optional parts available for "S.H.Figuarts KATSUKI BAKUGO"!

In addition to the "Surface Suppression Heavy Mobile Strafe Panzer" and "Wide-range Explosion Effect Parts", it also includes "replacement arm parts" that can be used to recreate the state without the gauntlets. It also comes with a "PET sheet" that recreates the action scenes from the movie!

■About the Area Suppression Heavy Mobile Strafe Panzer

This equipment, which can be attached to "S.H.Figuarts KATSUKI BAKUGO", has a movable axis on each arm to allow for the free play of posing that only action figures can offer!

We hope that users will use this movable mechanism to have fun imagining the poses they would like to see!

■About the wide-range explosion effect parts and replacement arm parts

This represents the sparkling effect that occurs when using KATSUKI BAKUGO 's unique "quirk."
This is a large volume of parts that could only be achieved through the optional parts set, so we hope you will enjoy it!

By combining each optional parts with "S.H.Figuarts KATSUKI BAKUGO", you can create a display like the one you see here! We hope you will enjoy the various combinations!

■ Optional parts for IZUKU MIDORIYA

Next, we introduce optional parts for "S.H.Figuarts IZUKU MIDORIYA"!

A set of "OFA (One For All) full cowl effect parts", wrist parts for recreating "Air Force", and a "PET sheet" with different lettering than the one for "KATSUKI BAKUGO".

■OFA full cowl effect parts

Each of them is designed to be fitted to the body, allowing you to play with the image of "IZUKU MIDORIYA" when the "OFA Full Cowl" is activated! Each of them is designed to look as cool as possible without interfering with the range of motion, so if you have "S.H.Figuarts IZUKU MIDORIYA", please enjoy combining them together!

■Air Force wrist parts

We had originally wanted to include it in "S.H.Figuarts IZUKU MIDORIYA", but it was difficult to include it so that the price would be affordable to as many users as possible, so we have now fulfilled our wish and included it.
I think that having this wrist part will expand the possibilities for play with Deku even more, so I hope you will enjoy recreating "Air Force" in your own hands!
