A very popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara that is serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). 
Based on the Spring and Autumn Chinese Warring States period of history, this epic romance follows the exploits of a boy named Shin who aspires to become a great general, and a young king named Ei Sei, who goes on to become the First Emperor of the Republic of China. 
Winner of the Grand Prize for manga from the 17th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2013, the original works have sold a total of more than 95 million copies. 
Over four series of a TV anime have aired since 2012, and the first live-action movie was released in April 2019.
