『超時空要塞マクロス』の主役メカである可変戦闘機「VF-1 バルキリー」を当時としてはリアルに立体化し、伝説のトイとして絶大なる支持を得た「1/55 バルキリー」シリーズ(当時の元はタカトクトイス社)。
これをマクロス25周年にあわせてリニューアル復刻版として展開するのが「オリジン・オブ・バルキリー」シリーズです。
当時の可変構造や造形はそのままに、仕様を一部変更し、パッケージをリニューアル。
「スーパーバルキリーVF-1A(一条輝機)」は、主人公の一条輝(いちじょう・ひかる)が劇場版で搭乗する白地＋赤黒ラインの機体を再現。
過去商品では付属しなかったスーパーパックが始めて付属。
