Super Dimension Fortress Macross
A series that combination of music, mecha, and love triangles. The space battleship MACROSS is at war with the giant alien Zentraedi. Civilian Hikaru Ichijo, becomes a pilot for the Valkyrie Unit. Lynn Minmay, an employee of Chinese restaurant "Nyan-Nyan," goes off to become an idol singer who performs on the battlefield. 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the series's broadcast.
