『超時空要塞マクロス』の主役メカである可変戦闘機「VF-1 バルキリー」を当時としてはリアルに立体化し、伝説のトイとして絶大なる支持を得た「1/55 バルキリー」シリーズ(当時の元はタカトクトイス社)。
これをマクロス25周年にあわせてリニューアル復刻版として展開するのが「オリジン・オブ・バ ルキリー」シリーズです。
当時の可変構造や造形はそのままに、仕様を一部変更し、パッケージをリニューアル。
「VF-1J(一条輝機)」は、主人公の一条輝(いちじょう・ひかる)がTV版で搭乗する白地＋赤ラインの最もポピュラーなバルキリーを再現。
2002年復刻当時は付属しなかった、キャノピーカバーパーツなどが追加で付属します
