The TYPE3 KIRYU from "Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla" is resurrected by SOUL OF CHOGOKIN! With sculpting based on vast amounts of data, a light-emitting gimmick for the head and chest, and a wealth of accessories to recreate scenes from the film, this is the perfect figure to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the movie!

Twenty years after its creation, the Ultimate TYPE3 KIRYU is born again using extensive research and cutting-edge technology!
The TYPE3: MULTI PURPOSE-FIGHTING SYSTEM KIRYU was introduced in "Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla," a theatrical film released on December 14, 2002. The movie depicts the confrontation between Godzilla and the TYPE3 KIRYU, which was created as an an anti-Godzilla weapon. This film showed the potential of new Godzilla movies, featuring swift actions that could not be conceived of from the previous incarnations of Mechagodzilla.
Although its official name is the TYPE3: MULTI PURPOSE-FIGHTING SYSTEM, it is commonly referred to as the TYPE3 KIRYU in the movie. Mechagodzilla was made using the skeleton of Godzilla that was salvaged from Tokyo Bay as a base, and it took approximately three and a half years to create the machine. It is piloted by remotely from the AC-3 White Heron, a large scale support fighter.
Absolute Zero Lighting GimmickLight-emitting gimmicks are built into the head and chest. The chest changes color to recreate the firing sequence of the Absolute Zero Cannon.
A Large-Scale Figure Approximately 230 mm Tall
The figure is approximately 230 mm in height from from head to toe, and 350 mm in length when including the tail. The distinctive massiveness of CHOGOKIN is combined with a highly refined attention to detail.

This time, I did not force through the image of the KIRYU that I had entrenched in my mind. Instead, I re-examined the materials and prepared an image of the KIRYU that
was as faithful to the suit as possible. The larger size of SOUL OF CHOGOKIN allows
us to incorporate fine details such as the chest hinges, as well as other intricate details, in a natural way.

The highly popular TYPE3 KIRYU comes to SOUL OF CHOGOKIN! Based on the design supervised by mecha designer Shinji Nishikawa, as well as a vast amount of data, the figure was created using the proportions as seen in the film. In addition, light-emitting gimmicks are built into the head and chest. The chest changes color to recreate the firing sequence of the Absolute Zero Cannon. Moreover, as well as the back unit and other armaments, a hangar-like stand and damaged parts are included, allowing the figure to be recreated in all its glory from the movie.
The highly popular TYPE3 KIRYU from the "Godzilla Series" is now available from SOUL OF CHOGOKIN! The distinctive silver armor on its body has been painted to give it a luxurious finish.
Based on the design supervised by mecha designer Shinji Nishikawa, as well as a vast amount of data, the figure was created using the proportions as seen in the film. Fine details have been painstakingly recreated.
A light-emitting gimmick is built into the head. By exchanging parts, it is possible to reproduce its condition while on a rampage or after being repaired.
The TYPE3 KIRYU's most powerful weapon, the Absolute Zero, can also be deployed.
The Absolute Zero also has a built-in light-emitting gimmick that changes colors to recreate the cannon's firing sequence.
Includes a back unit and Type-0 railgun. By attaching these accessories, the machine can be changed to its "Heavy Armed Type" form.
The back unit can recreate the ejection state using the dedicated joint.
The detachable Maser Blade deployed from the Type-0 railgun is sculpted in a large, sweeping shape, just like in the film.
Boosters built into the legs can be deployed without needing replacement.
Damaged parts are included to recreate the final battle. Furthermore, a mini-figure of the pilot Akane Yshiro is also included, and it can be attached to the TYPE3 KIRYU.
The dedicated stand is sculpted to resemble a hangar. In addition to staging a launching sequence, an original gimmick allowing for suspended armaments is also possible.

I'm happy that KIRYU has joined the SOUL OF CHOGOKIN lineup, and I
was quite excited myself when the announcement was made last year.
Then, when I saw the actual product, I was surprised at how big it was.
A small Akane Yashiro figure is also included, so please don't lose it. (Laughs)
I believe that this SOUL OF CHOGOKIN model is the definitive version of the KIRYU figure at this time.
