About the Series

Macross
Super Dimension Fortress Macross first premiered on television in 1982. The series, developed by Shoji Kawamori (who served as the mecha designer and lead director), is set on a fictional Earth and focuses on three core themes: transforming mecha, music, and love triangles. The franchise has spanned several TV series, OVAs, and theatrical movies.
