- Why did you choose this poster version Mekongodzilla?
Terano：小学生の時、初めて劇場で見たゴジラ映画が『ゴジラVSビオランテ』で、それからゴジラのVSシリーズは欠かさず見ていたんです。

- Dr. Nishikawa, what did you think when the story of "Soul MIX Mechagodzilla" came?
西川：寺野さんから連絡をいただいたのが、「ゴジラ×生賴範義 回顧展」の後だったんです。

西川：『ゴジラVSメカゴジラ』のメカゴジラの設定は、特技監督の川北紘一さんが中心になって作られていました。

- Professor Nishikawa has heard that Mekko Godzilla of Showa has a hope, but did the team have resistance to coalescence?
西川：リメイク怪獣のデザインワークの中で、メカゴジラはあえて変えるべき存在と考えています。メカニックは時代時代で現実世界での常識も違ったり、アニメで流行っているデザインも変わるじゃないですか。

西川：僕からは形状の提案と、それに伴う設定の摺り合わせを行いました。『ゴジラVSビオランテ』から繋がっている世界観やメカニックの発展史を改めて練り直して、ゴジラのVSシリーズの流れで、それぞれのメカはどういう位置づけになるのか再検証しましたね。
