Release Commemorative Project

I'll try it right away.
This product is on par with the 00 Raiser in terms of size, so the box is thicker than the Freedom's!
The contents of the package are
Styrofoam box
・ Blister box
It is composed of:

First, remove the main unit from the styrofoam packaging. I tried to photograph it in a way that conveys the texture as much as possible, but even this doesn't fully capture it.
You really need to see this dazzling texture in person.

Looking at the close-up of the face, the mask area is made up of many separate parts, resulting in a very clean and detailed paint job.

Next is a shot where you can see the die-cast parts. Die-cast parts are used in the shoulders, waist, elbows, and backs of the knees, and of course in other places as well, so when you hold it in your hand, it feels quite heavy.
This gleaming metallic texture and substantial feel is what defines METAL BUILD!

The main body is packaged with the side skirts and shoulder boomerang parts detached.

The side skirts have been modified to be positioned further back to allow for greater mobility. This is the correct design for METALBUILD. This is not a defect! Please note.

The side skirts can be positioned using the small studs, so please use those as a reference to adjust their orientation.

Next, the wings! I applied a clear coat over the metallic coat. It's a shame that the texture doesn't come across fully in the photos! But I hope you can get a sense of the shiny texture.

The opened cross-section also features intricate molding.
I regret that we went too far with the product.
But that's good!

The weapons are also attached to the weapon rack. In the anime design, the left and right sides have quite different shapes, but in METAL BUILD version, we have tried to create a balance that is as harmonious as possible between the left and right sides when folded.

One of the problems with the fully-equipped MS Destiny is the clearance of the backpack.
It manages to open its wings and move its weapons at the same time in this way.
As expected from Wakishima Design, the quiet mastermind behind Skull Five!

There's ample clearance even with weapons mounted. This stance is so cool!

The wings are attached with a snap.
In METAL BUILD, the wings are designed to extend as high as possible relative to the main body in order to emphasize the impression from the film.

This is a shield. The opening and closing mechanism has been redesigned to prioritize thinness.

One of the key points of Mr. Satoshi Shigeta's supervision is the added details for the 3D model.
The two distinctive features of the Destiny Gundam's face—① the spikes (?) on the ducts and ② the cuts on the mask—have been incorporated as additional details throughout the entire model.
Please come and see the unique expressions that only three-dimensional objects can offer.

Here, we'll focus on the arms in our review. First, let's look at the forearm roll.
Normally, when you hold a Palma Fiocina, it ends up looking like this.
Therefore, with METAL BUILD Destiny, you can incorporate a roll into the forearm to allow for this pose.

Next, let's talk about the articulation of the wrist joint.
When assuming the balmafiocina stance and releasing it, a pulling and thrusting motion of the wrist is required.
That's where this movable axis comes into play.
By making full use of these techniques, you can adopt a very natural and stylish stance.

So, that was a review by the project manager, AT.
It's a real shame that the texture, sculpting, and articulation can't be fully conveyed through photos, but please check them out in person.
See you all soon!
