I asked, "What's this?", Told me that it is the movie I come next time. So I went to the cinema, I was ...... impact Godzilla posters are pasted. Of course also seen the movie, now from there to love Godzilla. And want their own Godzilla, under the movie theater posters on the way back of the school, I will remember that drew a picture in a sketch book (laughs).

- Then, shaping the Godzilla on your own, or would have had what the history is of was gone into that?

Sakai:Modeling is after graduating from the university. It's started to make since I was a "Godzilla" of 84 years. At first I was making a commercial garage kit, but is no longer short of bored with it, now make the prototype on their own. Nde that time was working in an advertising agency, it has through the company gained a 1/1 scale Godzilla head of the car, containing the Godzilla of documents and opened a drawer (laughs). The initial modeling was making only "Mosugoji". Because I want to reproduce the Mosugoji, I began modeling.

―― "S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (1964)" was commercialized as "Mosgoji" as an action figure, but now "S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (1964) appearance Ver. "Was sold to order. What kind of image did this come from?

Sakai:Godzilla emerging from reclaimed land, but I have a name scene to shake off the soil shaking the body, has been painting in the image immediately after the scene. First painted himself the sample, the same was asked to mass production of the same thing.

- Such as we have escaped from the movie scene "body color suffered the sand" is, it is a novelty as an action figure!

■Future perspectives on S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla Series

――The enthusiastic "Mosgoji" has also been commercialized for the second time, but what monster do you want to commercialize at S.H.MonsterArts?

Sakai:My personal hope, primary Godzilla I want to make. But, I like also 1984 Godzilla, I want to or to have a bullet train (laughs). If enemy monster, still Showa version of King Ghidorah. Showa version of radon and Mothra want is also personally. Since there is a monster that has not been still release, we want to make all means. Basic will stick to Godzilla, but the enemy monster we want to continue to various challenges. In fact, we just were also delivered a prototype of the new shape completely work. Please expect in the future.

■ Experience of the game "Godzilla -GODZILLA- VS"
S.H.MonsterArts ×xSpecial interview with Yuji Sakai, prototype designer for PS4 Mr. Sakai "motion of the wings of the game sounds amazing!"

--The PlayStation 4 game "Godzilla -GODZILLA- VS" was released on July 16. In this game, the prototype of S.H.MonsterArts was scanned and utilized as 3DCG data for the game. What did you think of the game content?

Sakai:Even Japanese Godzilla movies use CG in some parts, right? Combining the latest digital technology with the goodness of manual modeling, a new Godzilla charm emerges. For example, in "GODZILLA-VS", the realistic flexibility of King Ghidorah's wings is a sensory stimulus. I think that the experience of cooperating with such games will be utilized in the future prototype creation.
