Interview Articles S.H.Figuarts Kinniku Man Commemorating the 1/24 release] Original author, Yudetamago Shimada & product planner, dialogue project!
2015-01-24 09:00 update
In commemoration of the release of the "S.H.Figuarts Kinniku Man" series, a conversation between YUDETAMAGO Shimada and Bandai's planning staff was held in the magazine "Figure King No.204"! Only the first part of the interview is available to the public.
Terano:We had been working on a prototype action figure that could reproduce the techniques of "Kinniku Man" for some time, and the excitement of the manga serialization on the web encouraged us to move forward with a full-scale project, "S.H.Figuarts Kinniku Man". What do you think of the actual figure?
Shimada:"Kinniku Man" also celebrated its 35th anniversary last year, but it's surprising that the doll that started with Kinkeshi has evolved so far. In the past, children used to have Kinkeshi fight each other, but it was just an imagination of ``I was going to use a technique'' (laughs). But it's amazing how this actually works. It's nice to see toys that can be played with using tricks instead of just being displayed.
Terano:Until now, there was nothing around me that could reproduce the "perfect version muscle spark". It is difficult to "apply" the technique that appears in Kinniku Man, but it is equally difficult to "be applied". This hip joint and knee roll is the mechanism to reproduce it. Humans can do this fuzzy movement normally, but it's surprisingly difficult to get a figure to do the same pose as this.
Shimada:Well, this looks stunning "Muscle spark"!
