Terano：以前から『キン肉マン』の技が再現できるアクションフィギュアを試作していて、ウェブでの漫画連載の盛り上がりに後押しを受けて、本格的に企画として動かしたのがこの「S.H.Figuarts キン肉マン」です。実際にご覧になられていかがでしょうか？
嶋田：昨年で『キン肉マン』も35周年を迎えましたが、キンケシから始まった人形がここまで進化するとは驚きです。昔の子供はキンケシ同士を戦わせていましたが、あくまでも「技をかけたつもり」の想像でしたからね（笑）。でも、これは実際に出来てしまうのが凄い。ただ飾るだけではなく、技をかけて遊べるオモチャが出てくれたのは嬉しいですね。
Terano：これまで自分の周りには「完璧版マッスルスパーク」を再現できるものがなかったんです。キン肉マンに出てくる技は「技をかける」も難しいですが「かけられること」も同様に難しい。それを再現するための機構を考えたのがこの股関節とヒザのロールです。このファジーな動作は人間なら普通に出来ますが、これと同じポーズをフィギュアにやらせるのは意外と難しいんですよ。
嶋田：なるほど、これは見事な「マッスルスパーク」ですね！
