The memorable first is an interview with Mr. Takayuki Takeya, one of Japan's leading sculptors. Speaking of Mr. Takeya, he produced the prototype of SIC. 2008 marks the 10th anniversary of the shocking debut of "SIC VOL.1 Kikaider." The name Takayuki Takeya is also popular overseas, and there are rumors that famous toy collectors from overseas have come to buy Takeya's works. In commemoration of SIC's 10th anniversary this year, SIC exhibitions overseas are also planned. To meet Mr. Takeya, I visited his workshop in Tokyo. Mr. Takeya's impression is, as rumored, gentle and at his own pace. I was able to have a fun interview with Tori in a friendly atmosphere, with occasional laughter. As a child

When I was little, I liked Ultraman and Godzilla, and when I was in elementary school, I liked Kamen Rider.
But in these toys I did not play too much. In the countryside a mon of Hokkaido, it was not fulfilling the toy itself. ... Like that if there is to like a toy corner to corner of the stationery store. Naa was too much not Toka toy to play with friends.

I read manga. The head family of the Takeya family was next door, and my cousin who lived there bought the weekly manga, so I often read it. At that time, I liked Mr. Ishinomori. It's Kamen Rider after all. The works of Fujio Fujiko and Osamu Tezuka were mainly short stories from boys' magazines.

I liked even or made something in clay or painting. Why I winter is was making something in the snow Hokkaido. Since around it was full of snow. In terms of character, I have built a small Robocon in clay. All kinds of appearance and character (laughs).

Interestingly

There is interest to those of the old days. Few Toka tool ethnic use. I think that also affected to no small work.
I love to compare the photo after a long time ago taking photos and contemporary.
But I myself have not been taken. Really I think you and I wonder I should have taken if you have a camera as a child. But even I had the camera, at the time I would not have been taken in such a perspective.
I also like to compare the same as in the old days and now of the map. It enjoys occasionally put the time of the map in hand. It's a great plain (laughs).
I think I like aging rather than the old ones. I enjoy it.

Hobby is photography. But it is often primarily for materials. I like to have decayed after all (laughs).

Favorite video work and music

As for the visuals...I like science fiction in general. Blade Runner or something... it's obvious. Since I lived in the countryside, I could hardly go to the cinema. When I was in high school, I had no money. I don't watch many movies anymore. Is there a Kamen Rider THE FIRST and NEXT video? (Laughs) Oh yeah, I like "24" these days. I can't stop (laughs). But right now there are no new releases. I've also seen Dr.HOUSE, but I'm jealous of the confidence that you can live with saying such unpleasant things (laughs). We sometimes play music in the studio. I haven't heard anything new. The song I listen to the most is "ADIEMUS", "Seiki wo Koete". It sounds like "Takeya not yet~, ma~daka nee~ not yet~", so when the deadline for the work is approaching, this is it (laughs).
