Interviews with the two major guests will be released prior to the start of orders from December 3, 2021 (Friday) at Tamashii web shop. One is Kappei Yamaguchi, the voice actor who was in charge of the PV narration for this product. The other is Yuichi Hasegawa, a manga artist who works on the manga for this work. It would have been difficult to produce the PV of this aircraft, which had no record of visualization in animation and games, without the cooperation of both of them. Please pay attention to the comments of the two people who can be said to be the key people of this product.
* This article is a reorganization of the content distributed in "TAMASHII NATION ONLINE 2021" with the cooperation of the editorial department of "Monthly Gundam Ace".

――We asked Mr. Kappei Yamaguchi to narrate the music video for "METAL BUILD Crossbone Gundam X-0 Full Cross" as "Curtis Rothko". Up until now, Tobias Aronax has appeared in various product PVs and other appearances, but this will be the first time for Curtis. How was it? .

Mr. Kappei Yamaguchi (hereinafter referred to as Yamaguchi):I was really happy when the first offer came. I've been playing Tobia for a long time, and I wanted to play Curtis in that flow, but I didn't think it would come at this time, so I read "Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam Ghost" for now. The editorial department of KADOKAWA sent me the monthly Gundam Ace, and I also prepared (dubbed) "Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam X11" on the day.

――Curtis' voice was astringent and numb.

Yamaguchi:Thank you smile).

--Mr. Hasegawa was also present in the recording of the PV, but how was Curtis played by Mr. Yamaguchi?

Professor Yuichi Hasegawa (henceforth, Hasegawa):Of course, Mr. Yamaguchi has a good voice as a boy, but Curtis has grown up decades after that, based on his life experience. Moreover, he is not just a hard adult, but he is originally Tobia, so he leaves a little playfulness for the boy. He expressed that feeling very well, so he said "Oh!" (Laughs).

――Curtis looks like Tobia 17 years later. How did you play it?

Yamaguchi:For Tobia, you will first cast in the game, and then you will have a long relationship. I am also involved in other Gundam works, but since this "Crossbone" is the only Gundam work that can ride on the main character, I feel that the representative Gundam for me will be this Crossbone. ..
From there, I decided to play Curtis, but Curtis hides my identity or identity, so it looks completely different from Tobia, isn't it? So at first I challenged dubbing as if I should do it like a different person from Tobia, but on the day I heard from Professor Hasegawa that I want you to keep the Tobia-ness, "I am in myself. Tobia has to play carefully. " That made it easier to do on the contrary. I think people who went to the studio were worried about this and that.
So, this time, when I was a "ghost," I had the image of Curtis, who was about 35 years old. From that point on, you're about 50 years old in the current series ("X-11").

Hasegawa:I agree. I'm in my early 50s.

Yamaguchi:That's right. So, I'm getting closer to my actual age little by little (laughs), and with the ambition that I'd be happy if I had the opportunity to perform again ... (laughs).

――How about Mr. Hasegawa? Yamaguchi-san has appeared in the PV for "METAL BUILD CROSSBONE GUNDAM X1 FULL CLOTH", etc. What about your voice as Curtis?

Hasegawa:After all, I was impressed. It feels like there is a history that the same person has grown up. When I talk about Kinkedu-san, I get back to normal. That's like "Already! Already! That's right!" (Laughs). I think he is playing that properly.

Yamaguchi:This time, in Curtis's line, the scene where Tobia flashes back is used (Volume 9 of the book, episode 39 "Decision"), but "Wow, what should I do?" I thought I'd bring it back. But this time it's PV, so I thought it would be difficult to understand. I really liked that kind of scene because it's easy to get the image out of it, or because it makes me feel like "Oh, I'm the same person. Tobia grows up and is Curtis."

――Thank you for your wonderful voice.

Product list by brand It is the ultimate finished toy brand that combines "the goodness of CHOGOKIN" and "design arrangement according to the work" through the hands of various creators. While the use of superficial alloys is suppressed because the motif is a real robot, the know-how of the CHOGOKIN series is everywhere, such as design arrangements that intentionally expose the metal as it is, modeling arrangements for mobility, and designs that feel the weight. It's alive.
