Interview Articles "The Movie ULTRAMAN TAIGA New Gene Climax" movie release commemoration talk

The Movie release of ULTRAMAN TAIGA New Gene Climax is approaching. Could you tell us the highlights of this work?

Inoue:There are plenty of highlights, but one of them is a scene where all the New Generation Heroes transform themselves and land all at once. The rise from landing is also numb. Also, there is another scene that I like personally, where Taiga, Titus, and Fuma fight each other. First of all, there is a special feeling because the three triquads are in the same space.

Ichino:The three have fought together since the first half of the first episode of the TV series. At that time it was in outer space, and since then I could not transform without Hiroyuki, so I never fought at the same time.

Inoue:Yes, if Taiga was fighting and Titus wanted to come out, he had to withdraw. Instead, the three fight at the same time to show the combination. I don't do that much. I'm just punching and kicking, but I'm proud to be able to fight with three people. I thought it was a very Taiga-like scene.

Ichino:He said that it wasn't about shooting light rays side by side, but hopeful that a cool tag fight could be made in the physical part. Mr. Terai (Daisuke) of the killing team made the action of connecting the skills in three consecutive people. It doesn't do any damage, but it's "something good" (laughs).

――What are your favorite characters among the New Generation Heroes?

Inoue:To say the least, I yearn for the character that is the exact opposite of myself. Orbs are particularly different characters from Taiga and Hiroyuki, so it's fun to watch. On the other hand, Rosso and Bull are basically ordinary people, young in age, and close to newcomers Hiroyuki. When you go there, the orb “Kazeraibo” is still flying. Since the character is standing, it is interesting to watch.

Ichino:That person is too dark, right? Including Ishiguro (hero) who plays Guy (laughs).

Inoue:It's cool to have a sword called Orb Calibur. That's why I really like the Tristridium with the Taiga Tri Blade.

--Tregia, which had been defeated in the last round of TV, will reappear.

Ichino:After a period of six months from the last round, Tregia's breach will change. What had been aiming for his son Taiga until now, he is aiming for Taro, a big favorite. Taro didn't come to Earth until the end of the TV. Usually, it seems that the final round will come, but I didn't (laughs). Please expect the full appearance scene. It appears dashingly where Taiga has fallen into a pinch like never before.

Inoue:Taro that appears in a situation that can really be seen no matter how cool it is. I felt that things like the feelings of parents and children were also drawn very much.

Ichino:Although the number of words is small, it seems that they can communicate just by staring at each other. There Taiga said, "Dad, I ..." My father has seen a bad point and is trying to make a little excuse. Isn't that true for children? There are conflicts between the happiness to come to help and the feeling that I didn't want to see such a place. This time, I was conscious from the very beginning to draw such a “dad and child” part.

――How about looking at the SHFiguarts series?

Inoue:That's amazing. After all, there is a reality that is unique to a full-fledged action figure. I'm also happy to see Tristrium released. Because I think Tristrium is the coolest. Although Mr. (Nanase) who plays Kirisaki seems to be a photon earth school. There are factions within the Taiga team (laughs). That's why I am very happy to commercialize this Tristrium with this quality.

――Tristrium has an increased red area, so you can feel the tallow's lineage even more.

Ichino:I was aiming for it from the beginning. The original taiga is an Ultraman color mainly made of silver. The concept was that the Taro gene was gradually expressed as it grew stronger and became more like a father. I wanted to make my body color redder, including the rivet-like details of the protector. However, if you put red in the photon earth that comes out in the middle stage, it will be a half-finished image, so I adopted gold because I got the power of the earth. And with a tristrium, you can move it closer to your father, and it's also taiga-like. That's the image.

Inoue:It ’s really cool.

--Are there any scenes you would like to reproduce using SHFiguarts?

Inoue:One of the first things I remember with Tristrium is the final decision with Tregia. Recently, I've been presenting at various events, and looking at the reactions at the venue, this confrontation is the most exciting. The movement is fast and there are many troubles. There are a variety of techniques to use, and I think this is the scene to reproduce.

Ichino:After Wooler disappears with Dawn, the two confront each other. When Tregia listens to Taiga's persuasion and wonders if he can fly here, he says there is no island to attach to at all (laughs).

――Director Ichino, are there any scenes you want to recreate in this The Movie?

Ichino:Sure, of course, it's a set of all new generations.

Inoue:After all it is this scene (laugh).

Ichino:Yes, it is a side-by-side cut. Landing was limited to four people due to the set, so I cut the cut in half and shot. At first, the staff stopped trying to go all at once and said, "That's impossible!" In fact, they have different ways of getting off. The first one jumps on the spot, the middle two jump on a swing, and the end jumps off a flat platform.

Inoue:I didn't know that!

Ichino:Thanks to that, it was decided cool. That burns. Is it rocking? Coupled with the flow from the transformation, the excitement is terrible.

――Are there any other characters you want to commercialize in this series?

Inoue:Isn't Photon Earth a SHFiguarts? I think it will definitely become popular. It has appeared in the movie properly.

Ichino:I've been to movies. In the beginning, it's a photon earth (laughs).

Inoue:Photon Earth, unlike Tristrium, can be lined up with Titus and Fuma, which is also an advantage.

Ichino:Okay, I've never done that picture. Because the Tristorium is a three-way merger, so it would be strange to have a Titus or a Huma beside it. Then I can't finish "Taiga" yet. I have to do that lineup someday (laughs). Gold is cool, so I think it will be popular. Of course red is cool too, but gold is straight up everyone's favorite. S.H.Figuarts ULTRAMAN TAIGA Photon Earth, I think it would be a good idea to make it, too (laughs).

――Once your opinions have been compiled, please give a message to the reader.

Inoue:I love "Ultraman Cosmos", and it was a great honor to be able to work with Director Ichino, who was actually filmed, and Daisuke Terai, who was playing Cosmos. I would be happy if the children who are watching now would say "Ultraman is Taiga for me!" 10 to 20 years later, Ultraman like Cosmos for me. think.

Ichino:Thank you to everyone who watched the TV series to the end. In this movie, half a year after the final episode, what will happen to Hiroyuki and Taiga will be depicted. Moreover, all the new generation heroes are gathered, Taro is coming, Tregia is coming, and a new Ultraman is also appearing, it is a super-rich work. Not only that, but in order to make a straightforward story toward the last scene, it is a movie that I shot while always thinking and creating.

Inoue:I think it is one of the greatest pleasures of the Ultraman series. I was very happy to be able to play. I remember that the crank-up was the shooting of this last scene, and the scene was a little strange. Homare-senpai cries.

Ichino:My boys cry a lot. The two girls are happy to say hi (laughs). In that sense, it may be more like the last episode than the last episode of TV. Such "The Movie ULTRAMAN TAIGA New Gene Climax" will be released on March 6th!

Inoue:Everyone, come to the theater!

IchinoInoue: Buddy Go!
