Message from Mr. Tsukasa Kotobuki
"I've been waiting for 25 years!" Is a lie, but it's a three-dimensional prototype beam rifle. The ROBOT SPIRITS has given shape to that long object that had never had a three-dimensional object!
This prototype beam rifle is an original weapon that appears in your second Gundam manga.
I was asked to depict why Anavel Gato came to be called "Solomon's Nightmare." Since it was confirmed that she piloted GELGOOG at the time of A Baoa Qu, it would have been unconvincing to have the story say that she was "greatly successful because it was a new model," so I decided to give her a suspicious superweapon that would not have been recorded in history.
As for the GELGOOG, I personally didn't like the fact that Gato's personal color was blue-green at the time, so I decided to have it given to Gato, who was originally going to receive it from Dozle if Ramba Ral hadn't descended to Earth. So in the manga, the commander's blade antenna still remains on the head of Ral's machine, but when the later battle at A Baoa Qu is depicted, it is removed, just like in the video.
As for the prototype beam rifle, I had a senior from my high school days design it for me with the crazy idea of making a battleship's beam cannon even more powerful and portable in a mobile suit. I remember him using Federation technology as a reference to make it less Zeon-like and more composed of straight lines. Of course, such a weapon couldn't function properly, so it overheated and the GELGOOG stopped functioning. If it were to be designed today, it's the kind of outrageous weapon that would have to be pointed out and changed before it was even published (lol).
Even so, I never thought that it would make such a maniac product into a product. ROBOT SPIRITS product lineup is scary. I'm looking forward to it in the future!
