Job satisfaction

It may be hard to imagine what logistics and purchasing for a toy manufacturer entails. However, it is a very rewarding job that requires you to always think two or three steps ahead and devise strategies involving many people inside and outside the company. You will face various problems such as production delays and changes to shipping lines, but your skill will be shown in how you get things back on schedule.
You will also need to understand the process and schedule from the product planning stage to its release in stores, which will definitely be a valuable experience while working at Bandai/ BANDAI SPIRITS.

  • 9:00go to the office

Team members love coffee and tea! They check their emails and schedules for the day while drinking the recommended drinks that everyone brought. They check the progress of development and closely examine whether there are any delays or omissions in the production schedule.

  • 9:30Check your email

I check emails from group companies, factories, and development and sales staff within the department.

  • 10:00Meeting with group companies

We will discuss the transportation schedule with the logistics staff of the Bandai Namco Group. Even if the product is shipped safely, there are many things to consider after it arrives in Japan, such as the warehouse's receiving capacity and storage space. As logistics issues are expanding on a global scale, we must consider transportation and delivery with maximum efficiency while keeping costs down. We will involve not only BANADAI SPIRITS, but also various partner companies to closely coordinate the schedule up to the product release.

  • 12:00lunch

There are many embassies near the office, and there are many international shops! New shops are opening one after another, so I enjoy exploring new places every day. I recharge my energy for the afternoon's work. When I'm busy, I sometimes buy food from the food truck at the entrance to the office building.

  • 14:00Production Meeting

We confirm the production quantities of the products to be released with the sales representatives in each area. Since these are numbers that absolutely cannot be mistaken, any gaps with the planned numbers are checked by two or more team members before being communicated to the production factory.

  • 15:00Order Schedule Meeting

We propose production schedules to promotion staff and sales staff in each area, taking into consideration the MD of the product and the work from a production perspective, such as "when" to order "which product" and "when is the deadline". In addition to new products, we also propose resale products that appear in the same work in order to acquire new customers and increase sales.

  • 16:00Team meetings

While checking the development and production schedules of the production plants and the schedules of the ships that will transport the products, the team checks by pointing out when the products will be released not only in Japan but also around the world. They check the schedules in detail, keeping in mind that the number of days required for transportation varies depending on the sales area.

  • 17:00Production progress confirmation meeting

We examine the optimal production schedule daily based on order status and the latest production schedule.

  • 17: 45Getting ready to leave work

Check and write down tomorrow's to-dos and deadlines. Since there are deadlines every day, it is very important to organize information and schedules! There are also many matters to be managed collaboratively by sharing information, schedules, and tasks with team members.

  • 18:00leaving work

I go to the gym a few times a week after work. Health is essential to my job, so I exercise moderately to improve my metabolism and get the right amount of tiredness so I can sleep well.
