The original work by Nobuhiro Watsuki began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994, and was made into a TV anime for the first time in 1996. Since then, the series has undergone numerous developments including Rurouni Kenshin and feature films, and is currently being serialized on Jump SQ.
