TVアニメーション第2作にして、放映当時に(株)ポピーより「超合金 鉄人28号」「超金属 鉄人28号」という超合金トイがされた「鉄人28号合金トイ」の元祖となるキャラクターの登場です。
本体にはふんだんにダイキャストを用い、重量感は抜群。新機構の関節により、外観を損なわないまま広い可動域も実現し、劇中さながらのポージングをとることができます。
