60 years ago, Ultraman made his first television appearance on July 10. From "The Birth of Ultraman," ULTRAMAN (A TYPE) joins S.H.Figuarts (SHINKOCCHOU SEIHOU) in black-and-white!
● Form and Proportions
ULTRAMAN (TYPE A) has been meticulously recreated in collaboration with the LSS modeling department at Tsuburaya Productions using body scan data from suit actor Bin Furuya, and sculpted by Yutaka Narita, who worked on the S.H.Figuarts (SHINKOCCHOU SEIHOU) "Ultraman Tiga" series. Every detail, from the exquisite balance of the body to the distinctive mask design, has been faithfully reproduced.
● Coloring
Since the original July 10, 1966 "The Birth of Ultraman" broadcast was in black-and-white, and viewers at the time mainly watched the "Ultraman" TV series on black-and-white television sets, multiple prototypes and tests were created for the monochrome coloring. With the cooperation and supervision of Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, we arrived at the current high contrast coloring to give a sense of the original "Ultraman" coloring.
● Movability
Thanks to the wide range of motion achieved by using soft parts in various sections, it's possible to recreate many famous scenes from the show. Each part has been thoroughly examined to ensure it matches the unique balance and body lines of ULTRAMAN TYPE A, to create an action figure as close as possible to his appearance in the show.
● Accessories
Includes a newly sculpted effect part for the Spacium Ray used by ULTRAMAN (A TYPE) in episodes 1 through 13 of "Ultraman." Also includes seven left and six right interchangeable hands, allowing you to recreate various scenes from the series. A monochrome commemorative base for the 60th anniversary of the "Ultraman" series is also included.
