Ultraman (Type A) - The Birth of Ultraman-

On July 10, 60 years ago, “Ultraman” made its first television appearance. From “Ultraman: The Eve—The Birth of ‘Ultraman’,” “Ultraman (Type A)” has been converted to black-and-white and is now available on S.H.Figuarts (SHINKOCCHOU SEIHOU)!

● Form and Proportions
Using body scan data from Satoshi Furuya, the suit actor from that era, we have meticulously recreated the “Ultraman (Type A)” suit. Furthermore, the prototype was sculpted by Yutaka Narita—who worked on the “S.H.Figuarts (SHINKOCCHOU SEIHOU) Ultraman Tiga” series—in collaboration with the LSS modeling division of Tsuburaya Productions. Every detail, from the exquisite balance of the entire body to the distinctive mask design, has been faithfully reproduced.

● Color Ring
Considering that "Ultraman Eve Festival: The Birth of Ultraman" was broadcast in black and white on July 10, 1966, and that viewers at the time also had the experience of watching the main "Ultraman" series on black and white television, multiple prototypes and tests were created to create a "black and white" coloring pattern. Through repeated supervision with the cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, the current coloring, with its high contrast, was arrived at to give a sense of the original "Ultraman" coloring.

● Movability
Thanks to the wide range of motion achieved by using soft parts in various sections, it's possible to recreate memorable scenes from the show. The part divisions have been thoroughly examined to match the body balance and surface lines unique to Type A. While being an action figure, it pursues a "Ultraman (Type A)" that is as close as possible to the impression from the show.

● Accessories
The "Spacium Ray effect parts" used by "Ultraman (Type A)" in the series are newly sculpted based on their appearance in episodes 1 through 13 of "Ultraman." Seven types of interchangeable left wrist parts and six types of right wrist parts are included, allowing you to recreate various scenes from the series. Furthermore, a "Ultraman Series 60th Anniversary Commemorative Base (Monochrome Ver.)" is included to celebrate the 60th anniversary Ultraman Series.
