One Piece
Written by Eiichiro Oda. Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #34 on July 22, 1997, the series will celebrate its 25th anniversary in July 2022. Volume 1 of the manga was released on December 24, 1997, and volume 57, released on March 4, 2010, had a first print run of 3 million copies, setting a new record for the highest first print run in Japanese publishing history. It remains at 3 million copies to this day. Volume 67, released on August 3, 2012, broke the previous record with a first print run of 4.05 million copies. As of August 4, 2022, the manga has sold over 510 million copies worldwide (over 410 million copies in Japan, and over 100 million copies in international distribution in 60 countries and regions). The TV anime series began airing on the Fuji TV network in 1999, and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2024, with the Elbaf arc scheduled to begin airing on April 5, 2026. The live-action drama version of "ONE PIECE," available exclusively worldwide on Netflix, is scheduled to begin airing Season 2 on March 10, 2026. Production on Season 3 has also begun.
