From manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori's masterpiece sci-fi manga "Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier" comes a FiguartsZERO recreation of the final battle from the popular "The Underground Empire 'Yomi' Arc"!
Shotaro Ishinomori's classic comics, including "Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier" and "Kamen Rider" are coming to FiguartsZERO. The first in the series is "Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier," with a scene from the "Underground Empire 'Yomi' Arc," which depicts the head-on clash with enemy organization Black Ghost, where a stone-faced figure CYBORG 009 faces down his nemesis, Skull, in the final battle scene. The prototype was created by Takeshi Saito, who specializes in recreating Ishinomori's characters.
From the popular finale of "The Underground Empire 'Yomi' Arc" of Shotaro Ishinomori's "Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier," depicting the final battle with Black Ghost, comes this dynamic depiction of the final battle scene between protagonist 009 / Joe Shimamura and his nemesis, Skull!
The prototype was created by Takeshi Saito, known as "Boy Geppetto," who specializes in sculpting Ishinomori's characters in such detail that it seems as if they've jumped straight out of the manga. Produced under the supervision of Ishimori Productions, this is a must-have for fans of "Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier"!
The three brains on the three pillars towering in the background are the true form of Black Ghost. The brains are covered with a dome made of clear parts, and wire cords extending from the dome are wrapped around the pillars. Note the extremely detailed background as well.
A showdown between two cyborgs moving at super high speed thanks to their Acceleration Modules! The sense of speed is recreated with clear effect parts. Through the clever use of effect parts, 009 and Skull are positioned as if floating in the air to portray their high-speed showdown!
The "Underground Empire 'Yomi' Arc" of "Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 1966. The figure is released in July 2026, exactly 60 years later!
