In my previous job, I was in charge of planning at a toy manufacturer. I applied because I am interested in manufacturing in a wide range of genres.

I feel very rewarded when TAMASHII NATIONS fans praise the products I have helped plan on social media! I also think that the fun part of this job is being able to plan figurines from a variety of genres, including anime, special effects, movies, and celebrities.
9:00go to the office
I check my emails as soon as I get to work. I received an email from the sculptor the night before, so I respond to that. I also received a response from the copyright holder for the product I'm in charge of regarding supervision, so I check the points they pointed out.
9:30Material preparation
I have an oversight meeting this afternoon, so I'm preparing the materials for the meeting. I'll be compiling the information I want the copyright holder to confirm, such as photos of the in-progress figure prototype I took the other day, the product package design, and the painted figure prototype.
10:30Progress Team Meeting
The entire planning team will review the progress of the figure prototype and the supervision status. Any worries will be discussed at this team meeting!
12:00Lunch + Transfer
In the afternoon, I'll go out to a supervision meeting, bringing along supervision materials and samples. For lunch, I'll go to a popular curry restaurant with the team members who will be going with me to the supervision meeting! During lunch, we'll chat about things other than work, like where to go this weekend!
13:30Supervisory Committee
We go to the copyright holder's company, show them the prepared review materials and samples, and get their comments. If there are any corrections requested by the copyright holder, we will correct them immediately so that they are ready for the next review meeting.
15:00Prototype check
After the review, we return to the office and ask the sculptor to make corrections. We share the detailed correction requests while showing the sample so that the corrections can be completed in one go.
16:00Meeting with the promotion team
I will be discussing with the promotion team about the exhibition design for the next event. We will exchange ideas and decide what to exhibit and what kind of exhibit it should be. I'm looking forward to making a fun exhibit!
17:00Factory sample check
We check the factory samples that arrive, carefully checking to see if the shape has been changed from the original prototype and if it can be played with in the way intended.
18:00Material creation
Tomorrow I have a supervision meeting with a different copyright holder, so I will be creating materials that compile the designs and figure prototypes that I want the copyright holder to check.
19:00Leave the company
Today I'm having dinner with a client who always makes wonderful prototypes for me. If you have plans, you can adjust your schedule and go home!
