The most eye-catching thing about the GUNDAM (ROLLOUT COLOR) is its white and silver coloring!

And also!
We have received special messages from Koichi Yamato, the illustrator of "Plamo-Kyoshiro", and Masahiro Oda from the modeler group Stream Base, who was also featured as a passenger of the Semi-Armored Gundam in the manga.
A Special Message from Manga Artist Koichi Yamato
It only appeared once in the "Plamo-Kyoshiro" manga, in a supporting role that was not a main kit like the Perfect Gundam, and an additional time during Shiro's training simulation conducted by Masahiro Oda. This "Oxidized Silver Gundam" accurately identified the weaknesses of the heavily equipped Perfect Gundam, and later served as the starting point for the Full Armor, Red Warrior, and other models.
A Special Message from Masahiro Oda
This work is the first manga in Japan based on the popular character model serialized in Kodansha's monthly boys' magazine "Comic BomBom." The original story was by Craft Team, while Koichi Yamato was in charge of the manga.
In the manga, Shiro Kyoda, a boy who loves plastic models, played an active role in the virtual space of a "plamo simulation" that focused on plastic models from Mobile Suit Gundam, which was beginning to explode in popularity at the time. Shiro's growth and development through model making, creating one original work after another, was conceived in the spirit of sportsmanship, and he was written in a way that readers could easily relate to him emotionally. I remember hearing from Masaya Takahashi, who collaborated on the original story, that the ridiculous development of the live-action version of "Judo Icchokusen" was a great reference in the production of the manga, and that really made sense. The model-making scenes, which tended to be heavy, were brightly arranged in the painterly style of Koichi Yamato, who was active in the development of school year magazines.
The main character, Shiro, uses Gundams, of course. The Perfect Gundam that he eventually created became so popular that a special feature page explaining how to make it appeared four times. A resin kit crafted by Katsuzo Ozawa, the bearded plastic model monster who taught him how to make Gundam, was featured in a gift program, and this also became popular.
Early in the storyline, Shiro's mentor, a sports instructor named Mr. Tomita, was introduced. This character was created by Hisashi Yasui, and was a projection of the young modelers who frequented the studio at the time (Mr. Yasui said the name Tomita came from the reverse meaning of Oda in Japanese), but as the popularity of the plastic model pages heated up, Stream Base was, of course, introduced in the main manga series. Everything that happened there, the entire atmosphere, was projected into this work, and nothing was left out.
Stream Base was comprised of myself (Masahiro Oda), Masaya Takahashi, and Katsumi Kawaguchi. We acted as Shiro's instructors and put him through various trials during his special training. So, in order to teach Shiro about the Perfect Gundam's weaknesses, the Semi-Armored Gundam was used in the manga. This model was fitted with extra armor, but only on the front of its fuselage. In other words, this implied that opponents would not be able to defeat Shiro unless they utilized their mobility to get behind him. The FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam has a rather massive form, so using parts of it was an interesting idea for fighting with maneuverability. The plan was for the next machine idea presented from myself to Shiro, who had overcome the special training, to be an illustration of the Full Armor Gundam. At that time, Bonbon's photo studio was a fortress filled with tremendous enthusiasm and liveliness, as various stories related to models swirled around the place. Yes, that's why "Plamo-Kiyoshiro" was infused with so much of that kind of energy.
