SOUL OF CHOGOKIN GX-106 DENSHI SEIJYU DOL & GUILLAN ENBAN

Do you remember our previous post about CHOGOKIN SPACE SHERIFF GAVAN & SYBARIAN product sample introduction? The Super Dimensional Highspeed Ship Dolgiran, which transfers SPACE SHERIFF GAVAN's combat suit and possesses the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL, is indispensable to GAVAN in all kinds of situations.

Now we have the product version of SOUL OF CHOGOKIN GX-106 DENSHI SEIJYU DOL & GUILLAN ENBAN. Let's introduce it again!

Here's the packaging. It features a design reminiscent of the version of the toy at the time it was aired, showing the image of the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL detaching and transforming into the Dolgiran state. The DOL unit inside is stored in its dragon form.

"Affirmative. Transferring combat suit."

Dolgiran is a super dimensional highspeed ship that appears upon Gavan's call. The back of the DOL unit is inserted into the bottom of the GUILLAN ENBAN and fixed by the slide spring mechanism on the GUILLAN ENBAN side. The two-layered structure of the flying mecha makes it even more impressive when viewed with the naked eye. Take special notices of the the rear view of the ship, which boasts intricate mechanical detail.

DENSHI SEIJYU DOL

"DENSHI SEIJYU DOOOOOL!!!"

A reliable companion who comes at Gavan's call! SOUL OF CHOGOKIN has brought it to life with a total length of approximately 270 mm (after transformation/in the image above), and the appearance, gimmicks, and texture are all filled with detail. Let's take a look at each part, one by one.

The neck and tail are connected by a ball joint for each block (some blocks, such as the tip of the tail, have multiple fixed blocks), allowing for flexible bending. If you add the nuance of being turned upward or downward, in addition to left and right as pictured, you are able to recreate a wealth of poses.

Turn the tail upwards for a smooth silhouette, or downward for a calm look. Use the joints to shape it as you like.

Check out this united attack from SPACE SHERIFF GAVAN and the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL! A beard part at the same scale as Gavan is included and can be swapped in to set up the familiar sight of from the main story with Gavan riding on Dol's snout.

In addition to having a mouth that opens and closes, each limb has three movable joints. (Movable joints are marked by green in the above image.) This gimmick expands the range of poses and allows you to recreate the impressive battle scenes that the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL is known for, such as spitting Dolfire from its mouth and attacking Makuu's battle saucers with its claws.

Die-casting is used extensively for the body of the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL, and the palpable weight when you hold it in your hand is one of its charms. The combination of the metal texture and the transformation gimmick described below makes it an especiallly fun item to play with and hold in your own hands.

This is the other side of the main story, but let's follow the instruction manual to transform the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL from appearance to departure. Remove the beard parts, fold in the head and the tip of the tail, and fold the arms and legs so that they are along the neck and tail. Store the neck and tail in the open body, close the body again, and you're done.

Translucent parts are used for the canopy, and the jet nozzle appears at the same time as the hind legs are retracted, giving it a highly complete feel even in this form.

GUILLAN ENBAN

Next, let's take a look at the GUILLAN ENBAN, the mothership of the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL!
While the DOL is a noble star beast, the ENBAN is truly a fortress of scientific excellence. The sharp design placed inside ENBAN's base still looks slick and futuristic even 40 years after its broadcast.

The product comes with a special pedestal for the GUILLAN ENBAN that is different from the one for the DOL unit.The DENSHI SEIJYU DOL, the GUILLAN ENBAN, and their combined state, the DOLGIRAN , can all be displayed.

In contrast to the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL, which is packed with figure-like fun, such as movable and replacement parts to reproduce scenes from the main story, the GUILLAN ENBAN form is characterized by the comfortable feeling of moving it with your hands characteristic to the SOUL OF CHOGOKIN series. The saucer part at the top has a knob to open and close the dome, and a SAIBARIAN and GRAVION on the same scale are stored inside.

There is a convex mold on the hangar of the GUILLAN ENBAN, and a concave mold on the bottom of the SAIBARIAN and the GRAVION, with which they can be securely fixed. It also includes a gimmick that allows SAIBARIAN or GRAVION to be spring-ejected from the nose.

Now, let's watch a video of the SAIBARIAN/GRAVION firing gimmick!
There is an fire button on the right side of the catapult, and it will dash toward tomorrow at a speed faster than you may expect, so be careful not to lose the machine before it reaches GAVAN.

The miniature mechanism that can be seen through the clear material, the feeling of sliding the ABS parts, the high precision of the parts that line up beautifully with the ENBAN's body—we want you to experience all of this with comfort that appeals to all five senses in real life.

Furthermore, it is equipped with a sound gimmick that arouses auditory emotions as well! A switch at the back of the ENBAN plays the insert song "Shining King Dolgiran," which was often played when Dol was active in the show. Many figured of the GUILLAN ENBAN have been brought ot market since the show aired, but this is the first SOUL OF CHOGOKIN item to be equipped with a sound gimmick.

Smaller ships modeled as the same scale, such as SAIBARIAN, GRAVION, and three MAKUU BATTLE SAUCERS, are included.  The small mechas such as these have also been recreated with precise modeling and painting. You can see the fine detail by comparing their size with a one yen coin as shown in the image above. The tires on the back of SAIBARIAN are also painted differently.

The Makuu battle saucers attack humanity from space to cities! A special pedestal is included to reproduce the figure flying in a three-plane formation.

In terms of "precision," let's focus again on the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL and the GUILLAN ENBAN. The sense of realism as a machine is further enhanced by small details such as the sharp contrast of the red with yellow trim all over the Dol's neck and tail, the silver wing molds, and the point colors scattered on the GUILLAN ENBAN.

Add the CHOGOKIN SPACE SHERIFF GAVAN & SYBARIAN (now available, sold separately) to the mix and take on the Space Crime Organization Makuu!
GAVAN will be invincible displayed with the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL and GUILLAN ENBAN, which are tied by a bond deeper than just pilot and machines. Also, the showdown between GAVAN's Laser Z Beam and the Makuu battle saucers is exciting.

The heroic activities of the DENSHI SEIJYU DOL are captivating, but we haven't overlooked the importance of a hero's mothership either in our reproduction. The DESNSHI SEIJYU DOL was displayed alongside the SOUL OF CHOGOKIN GRAND BIRTH in a competition between the super-dimensional ships that Space Sheriff Gavan and Space Sheriff Sharivan are so proud of.
