9:30go to the office
When I arrive at work, the first thing I do is check my email. I check to see if there are any emails from design companies asking for confirmation data or consultations about specifications and structure. I also sometimes receive proposals and specifications from product planning staff saying, "This is what we want to make!" and I think about which design company would be best to work with to make it.
10:00Check the prototype data of the product
Once we receive the data for confirmation from the design company, we check it and create a correction instruction document. When we create a prototype based on the data, we check whether it is viable as a product, such as whether it has the specifications to perform the expected movements.
12:00lunch
Since I mostly work sitting in the office, I often go out to eat lunch with the design team to change my mood!
13:00Meeting with product planner
Based on the specifications that arrived in the morning, we hold a meeting with the product planners to confirm whether the product is designed to move as expected, whether it is a fun product as a TAMASHII NATIONS product, etc.
14:00Meeting with external design company
We hold meetings with external design companies while actually holding the prototypes in our hands. We discuss detailed product design based on requests from product planners, such as whether a mold can be successfully made to manufacture the product with the current specifications.
15:00Check out the samples in progress
The factory has produced a prototype sample made using a new mold, so we check it against the design data to make sure there are no processing errors in the exterior and that it is made according to the play specifications.
16:00Prototype output of prototype data
A prototype of the completed prototype data will be printed out.
17:30Material creation
I will summarize the contents of today's meeting in a document and send it to the product planning staff and the design company. Since small discrepancies in understanding when creating a product can lead to major problems, it is important to create confirmation documents.
18:30leaving work
I often use my time after work for my hobbies! If I adjust my work schedule, I can enjoy my hobbies after work, like going to a home electronics store to look at plastic models or going to the cinema to watch a movie!
